Python Developer – Django & Django REST Framework

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong expertise in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications and scalable backend services in a collaborative and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for front-end applications and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless API and UI integration.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code following established coding standards.
- Implement appropriate data security practices and ensure compliance with applicable privacy requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application reliability and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
- Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 3–10 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong professional experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills

- Strong command of Python programming.
- Deep understanding of Django and Django REST Framework.




- Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of Django ORM and database optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Git/version control systems.
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous task processing.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and task scheduling.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in a product-based organization.
- Experience in the healthcare domain is an advantage.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth.
- Experience with API gateways and third-party API integrations.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a backend engineer who can take ownership of development tasks, build scalable and secure applications, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and contribute effectively to a fast-paced product development setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
