A Quantity Engineer (or Quantity Surveyor) for a residential construction company manages all financial and contractual aspects of housing projects. Their main tasks include preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimating material and labor costs, running tender processes, evaluating subcontractor work claims, and controlling project budgets from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Cost Estimation & BOQ: Perform precise quantity take-offs from architectural drawings to prepare detailed Bills of Quantities and cost budgets.
- Tendering & Procurement: Assist in evaluating tenders, pricing materials, and negotiating contracts with local subcontractors and suppliers.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor real-time site expenditures, report budget variances, and forecast final project costs to prevent overruns.
- Valuation & Billing:



Review and certify interim payment applications submitted by contractors and vendors based on completed site work.
- Variation Management: Assess design changes or site variations, calculate cost adjustments, and manage claims.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven cost management experience in residential or building construction.
- Technical Skills: Solid proficiency in reading blue prints, Excel, and estimation software or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge: Understanding of local building codes, contract types (e.g., FIDIC or local equivalents), and material pricing.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
