Job Description-Project Engineer

Position: Project Engineer
Experience: 1–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical
Location: Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai

Job Responsibilities

- Plan, execute, and monitor automation and SPM projects from start to completion.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, PLC, Assembly, Purchase, and Production teams.
- Understand customer requirements, machine specifications, and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
- Coordinate machine assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Identify project issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Communicate with customers regarding project requirements and status.
- Support machine trials, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare project schedules,



progress reports, and documentation.
- Ensure quality, safety, and project specifications are maintained.
- Coordinate material requirements and follow up with suppliers when required.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of SPM / Industrial Automation machines.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of project planning and execution.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, pneumatics will be an advantage.
- MS Office / Excel knowledge.
