About the Role
We are looking for a Senior React Developer with 6+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain high-quality, enterprise-grade frontend applications. You will bring deep React.js and TypeScript expertise — delivering scalable, performant, and accessible user interfaces that meet the highest engineering standards. You will work closely with UX designers, backend engineers, product owners, and architects in an Agile delivery environment — contributing to frontend architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

React Development

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance React.js applications using TypeScript and modern hooks — delivering pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive user interfaces.
- Build and maintain reusable, well-documented component libraries aligned to design system standards.
- Implement complex state management solutions using Redux Toolkit, React Query, or Context API.
- Integrate React frontends with backend REST APIs — managing async data flows, error handling, and loading state patterns.
- Build Next.js applications leveraging SSR / SSG for performance-critical and SEO-sensitive use cases where applicable.
- Enforce WCAG accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility across all UI components and pages.

Performance & Quality

- Implement frontend performance optimisation — code splitting, lazy loading, memoisation, and Core Web Vitals improvement.




- Write comprehensive unit and component tests using Jest and React Testing Library — maintaining high test coverage and regression confidence.
- Conduct E2E testing using Cypress or Playwright — validating critical user journeys across the frontend application.
- Enforce code quality standards — ESLint, Prettier, and pre-commit hooks — maintaining a clean and consistent codebase.
- Participate actively in code reviews — providing constructive technical feedback to peers and upholding frontend engineering standards.

CI/CD & Delivery

- Integrate frontend test suites and build pipelines into CI/CD workflows — Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Support frontend cloud deployments on AWS (S3, CloudFront) or Azure Static Web Apps — configuring CDN, caching strategies, and environment-specific builds.
- Contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with UX Designers (Figma handoff), Backend Engineers, QA, and Product Owners — ensuring seamless end-to-end feature delivery.
- Produce clear technical documentation — component libraries, architecture decision records, and frontend standards guides.
- Mentor and coach junior React developers — sharing knowledge and promoting frontend best practices.

What We're Looking For

- 6+ years of frontend development experience with deep, demonstrable expertise in React.js and TypeScript in large-scale production environments.

- Advanced React.js proficiency — Hooks, Functional Components, custom hooks,



performance patterns, and complex component architecture.

- Strong TypeScript skills — type system mastery, generics, utility types, and typed API integration.

- Proven state management expertise — Redux Toolkit, React Query, or Context API — in complex, data-intensive enterprise applications.

- Strong API integration skills — REST (Axios / Fetch), with robust error handling, caching, and loading state management.

- Comprehensive testing experience — Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress / Playwright — with strong commitment to test coverage.

- Deep knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and cross-browser / cross-device compatibility.

- Solid CI/CD integration experience — Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions — for automated frontend build, test, and deployment.

- Good understanding of frontend performance optimisation — Core Web Vitals, code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle size management.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — engaging effectively with UX designers, backend engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

- Next.js experience — SSR, SSG, and App Router for performance-critical applications.
- Micro-frontend architecture experience — Module Federation or equivalent.
- GraphQL experience — Apollo Client or urql alongside REST.
- Storybook — component library documentation and visual testing.
- Experience with design tokens and multi-brand design system implementation.
- AWS / Azure frontend hosting — S3, CloudFront, Azure Static Web Apps.
- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or regulated industry environments.
- Familiarity with AI-augmented frontend development — integrating LLM-powered features into React applications.
