About KIASA
KIASA | Ronak & Shruti is a premium Indian womenswear and bridal couture label specialising in designer lehengas, couture garments and intricate embroidery.
We are looking for a hands-on Factory Operations & Quality Executive who can take ownership of the day-to-day functioning of our factory.
This is a practical, on-ground role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with tailors, karigars, embroidery teams, vendors and market suppliers and should be able to independently handle factory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control
- Inspect garments at different stages of production.
- Check stitching, finishing, measurements, fitting and overall workmanship.
- Check embroidery quality including cutdana, zari, sequins, beads, stones, mirrors and other embellishments.
- Identify defects, loose work, stains, damage, incorrect measurements and finishing issues.
- Ensure corrections are completed before garments move to the next stage.
- Conduct final quality checks before dispatch.
- Maintain a record of recurring quality issues and ensure they are not repeated.
2. Market Purchases & Procurement
- Purchase fabrics, trims, embroidery materials, accessories, packaging materials and other factory requirements.
- Visit Mumbai markets and suppliers whenever required.
- Source materials at competitive prices without compromising quality.
- Compare prices from different vendors.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain reliable vendor relationships.
- Follow up on pending orders and deliveries.
- Ensure urgent materials are procured on time.
3. Factory Operations
- Coordinate the day-to-day functioning of the factory.
- Follow up with tailors, karigars, embroidery workers and other production staff.
- Monitor work allocated to different workers.
- Track pending and completed jobs.
- Ensure production deadlines are followed.
- Identify delays and immediately escalate issues.
- Make sure workers have the required materials to complete their work.
- Keep the factory organised and operational.
4. Material & Stock Management
- Maintain basic records of materials purchased and received.
- Monitor consumption of fabrics, trims, embroidery materials and accessories.
- Ensure materials are issued properly to workers.
- Prevent unnecessary wastage and material loss.
- Inform management before important materials run out.
- Maintain purchase bills and basic purchase records.
5. Vendor Management
- Coordinate with fabric, embroidery, tailoring, finishing, packaging and other vendors.
- Follow up regularly on outsourced work.
- Check quality of work received from vendors.
- Negotiate rates where appropriate.
- Ensure work is delivered within agreed timelines.
- Build a dependable network of vendors and suppliers.
6. Factory Support
- Handle practical day-to-day factory requirements.
- Coordinate dispatches, pickups and deliveries when required.
- Assist with packing and movement of garments/materials.
- Coordinate with the office/design team regarding production requirements.
- Solve small operational issues independently rather than escalating every matter.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should:
- Have 2–5 years of experience in garment, fashion, apparel, boutique or manufacturing operations.
- Have practical knowledge of garment quality checking.
- Have experience dealing with Mumbai textile/garment markets and suppliers.
- Be comfortable travelling to markets for purchases.
- Have good negotiation skills.
- Be able to manage workers and vendors.
- Be organised and responsible.
- Be comfortable using WhatsApp and basic Excel/Google Sheets.
- Have good communication skills in Hindi and Marathi; basic English is preferred.
- Be physically active and comfortable with a hands-on factory workplace.
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Important
This is not a desk-only job.
The candidate must be willing to personally inspect garments, visit markets, coordinate with workers, check materials and handle practical factory requirements.
We are looking for someone who can eventually become the key person responsible for day-to-day factory operations.

Salary
₹15,000–₹30,000 per month
Salary will be based on experience, practical knowledge and interview performance.
Performance incentives may be provided based on quality, timely production, purchase efficiency and overall factory performance.
Reporting
The candidate will report directly to the management and coordinate closely with the design, production and office teams.
