Job Description (brief): -
- Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites, plugins, and themes.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code for web applications.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other services.
- Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Communicate project updates and technical concepts clearly in English.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proven experience with WordPress development (themes, plugins, customizations).
- Familiarity with contemporary frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter) is a plus.
- Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce solutions.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Exposure to cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure).
- Prior experience in client-facing roles.
