Performance Engineer – JMeter / BlazeMeter

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer with 4–6+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Apache JMeter and BlazeMeter, with experience designing, executing, analyzing, and optimizing performance tests for web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop performance test strategies, scenarios, scripts, and workload models.

- Create and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter.

- Execute load, stress, endurance/soak, spike, and scalability testing.

- Use BlazeMeter for cloud-based performance testing and distributed load generation.

- Configure and execute distributed performance tests across multiple load generators.

- Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.

- Perform correlation, parameterization, scripting, and test-data management in JMeter.

- Monitor application and infrastructure performance during load tests.

- Generate detailed performance test reports with key metrics, observations, bottlenecks, and recommendations.

- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues.

- Establish and track performance baselines and benchmarks.

- Support performance tuning and validate improvements through subsequent testing cycles.

- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

- Participate in capacity planning and provide recommendations based on performance test results.

Required Skills

- 4–6+ years of experience in Performance Testing / Performance Engineering.





- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter.

- Strong hands-on experience with BlazeMeter.

- Good understanding of JMeter components including:

- Thread Groups

- HTTP Request

- Controllers

- Assertions

- Timers

- Listeners

- Correlation and parameterization

- CSV Data Set Config

- Plugins

- Experience with REST/SOAP API performance testing.

- Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, workload modeling, throughput, response time, latency, concurrency, TPS/RPS, and resource utilization.

- Experience with distributed load testing.

- Good knowledge of SQL and database performance metrics.

- Experience with application/infrastructure monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Recent Relic, or similar.

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and basic shell scripting.

- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON, XML, TCP/IP, and web application architecture.

- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have

- Experience integrating JMeter/BlazeMeter with Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.

- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and performance testing in cloud/containerized environments.

- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.

- Familiarity with Gatling, LoadRunner, or other performance testing tools.

- Experience with observability and APM tools.

- Basic knowledge of Java/Groovy for advanced JMeter scripting.
