We’re Hiring: Supplier Quality Assurance Lead | Bangalore

We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Lead to join our Engineering & Quality team.

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 8–12 years

Employment: Full time

Travel: 30–50% – frequent travel to supplier/manufacturing locations

What You’ll Do

* Lead supplier quality for castings, forgings, and precision-machined components

* Own supplier qualification, onboarding, capability audits, and quality approvals

* Drive APQP, PPAP & FAI for new and existing suppliers

* Review PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, inspection standards and quality documentation

* Conduct supplier process audits including VDA 6.3 / IATF 16949

* Define and ensure compliance with quality and inspection requirements

* Review GD&T;, dimensional reports, material certifications, heat-treatment records and NDT reports

* Lead 8D, 5-Why and root-cause analysis for supplier quality issues

* Monitor supplier KPIs including PPM, COPQ and quality documentation performance

* Drive supplier improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and SPC

* Support supplier selection, risk assessment and technical evaluation





* Mentor and guide junior Supplier Quality Engineers

What We’re Looking For

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

* 8+ years of experience in Supplier Quality / Manufacturing Quality / Quality Engineering

* Strong experience with castings, forgings and/or precision machining

* Strong knowledge of casting and forging processes and common defect modes

* Strong understanding of CNC machining, GD&T;, CMM and dimensional inspection

* Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC and 8D

* Strong knowledge of UT, MT, PT and Radiography; NDT Level 2 certification preferred

* Experience with VDA 6.3, IATF 16949 or equivalent supplier audits

* Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ASTM/ASME and relevant industry standards

* Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills

* Willingness to travel 30–50%

Preferred

Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, Oil & Gas or Industrial OEM supply chains will be an advantage.

Experience managing 1,000+ BOM components and 50+ suppliers is highly preferred.
