Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
· Plan daily, weekly and monthly production based on confirmed orders and dispatch commitments.
· Prepare and monitor production schedules for wooden acoustic panels, acoustic partitions, wooden doors, wall/ceiling panels and other customised products.
· Allocate jobs to different production sections based on capacity, priority and delivery dates.
· Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed within committed timelines.
· Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action to prevent production delays.
2. Shop-Floor Management
· Supervise the complete production process from raw material issuance to finished product.
· Manage manpower across cutting, CNC, routing, drilling, assembly, pressing, finishing, upholstery/acoustic treatment and packing sections.
· Ensure proper utilisation of machines, manpower and factory capacity.
· Maintain discipline, productivity and work standards on the shop floor.
· Coordinate with supervisors and operators to resolve day-to-day production issues.
3. Wooden & Acoustic Manufacturing
· Understand manufacturing processes involving MDF/plywood/boards, veneers, laminates, mica, wooden slats, fabric panels, micro-perforated panels and acoustic infill materials such as rockwool.
· Understand drawings, dimensions, BOMs and production specifications.
· Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, samples and customer specifications.
· Coordinate production of customised products where every order may have different dimensions and specifications.
4. Quality Control
· Establish and maintain quality checkpoints at every major stage of production.
· Ensure dimensional accuracy, finishing quality, alignment, joints, surface finish and overall workmanship.
· Minimise rejection, rework, wastage and customer complaints.
· Investigate recurring quality problems and implement corrective/preventive actions.
· Ensure final products are inspected before packing and dispatch.
5. Material & Inventory Coordination
· Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability of raw materials.
· Monitor consumption and wastage of boards, wood, laminates, mica, fabric, adhesive, hardware, rockwool and other production materials.
· Ensure materials are issued according to BOM and job requirements.
· Identify excessive wastage and implement measures to improve material yield.
6. Cost & Productivity Improvement
· Monitor production efficiency, labour productivity and machine utilisation.
· Track production quantity, rejection, rework, wastage and production hours.
· Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing cost without compromising quality.
· Improve production methods, workflow and workstation layouts.
· Develop standard processes and SOPs for repetitive manufacturing activities.
7. Coordination With Other Departments
Work closely with:
· Design / Engineering – drawings, revisions and technical requirements
· Sales / Project Team – delivery commitments and order priorities
· Purchase – raw material availability
· Stores – material issuance and inventory
· Quality – inspection and corrective actions
· Installation Team – site requirements and feedback
· Dispatch / Logistics – packing and delivery schedules
Production Monitoring & Reporting
The Production Manager will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing:
· Daily production report
· Job-wise production status
· Production vs. planned quantity
· Pending production orders
· Machine utilisation
· Manpower productivity
· Material consumption and wastage
· Rejection and rework percentage
· Production lead time
· On-time completion / dispatch
· Downtime and bottlenecks
· Daily/weekly/monthly production MIS
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated on:

Candidate Profile
Education:
· Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Wood Technology or a related field.
· Candidates with strong practical manufacturing experience may also be considered.
Experience:
· 5–10 years of relevant production experience.
· Experience in customised manufacturing will be highly preferred.
· Experience with wooden furniture, doors, partitions, interiors, acoustic products or similar manufacturing will be an advantage.

What We Expect From the Production Manager
The person should be capable of taking end-to-end ownership of production, starting from the production plan and material availability through manufacturing, quality inspection and readiness for dispatch.
The ideal candidate should not only supervise workers but should actively improve production systems, increase productivity, reduce wastage and rework, maintain quality, and ensure that customer orders are completed on time.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
