We are looking for a developer who can work beyond basic theme and plugin configuration and is comfortable writing custom PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, and Shopify code to solve real-world business requirements.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites and applications.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and Shopify themes.
- Convert Figma/Photoshop designs into responsive, production-ready websites.
- Customize and extend existing WordPress and Shopify themes.
- Develop custom WordPress plugins and functionality.
- Develop custom Shopify functionality and integrations.
- Integrate payment gateways and third-party APIs.
- Develop and consume REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and security.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Work with existing codebases and improve them without affecting existing functionality.
- Develop responsive and cross-browser-compatible interfaces.
- Work with MySQL databases and optimize SQL queries.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers.
- Understand complex requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions.

Requirements WordPress & Shopify

- 1.5+ years of professional experience working with WordPress and/or Shopify.
- Strong experience with WordPress development.
- Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes.
- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins.
- Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and core functionality.
- Experience working with existing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with WooCommerce is a plus.
- Experience with Shopify theme development and customization.
- Good knowledge of Shopify Liquid.
- Experience working with Shopify APIs is a plus.
- Shopify Plus experience is a strong advantage.

PHP & Backend

- Strong knowledge of PHP.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable PHP code.
- Hands-on experience with CodeIgniter or similar PHP frameworks.




- Good understanding of MVC architecture.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations.
- Experience working with third-party services and APIs.

Front-End

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Ability to convert designs into responsive websites.
- Experience converting Figma and Photoshop designs into production-ready interfaces.
- Robust understanding of responsive web development.
- Experience with AJAX.
- Ability to write standards-compliant and cross-browser-compatible front-end code.
- Experience troubleshooting browser compatibility and front-end issues.
- Knowledge of contemporary JavaScript development is a plus.

Database

- Strong knowledge of MySQL.
- Ability to write efficient and performance-optimized SQL queries.
- Understanding of database relationships, indexing, and query optimization.
- PostgreSQL knowledge is a plus.

Website Builders

- Experience with Elementor and other WordPress page builders.
- Experience with WordPress Visual Editor or similar tools.
- Ability to work with page builders while also being capable of implementing custom code when required.
