ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – EPC / Projects to lead end-to-end construction and project execution for a growing Builder & Developer organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving project delivery, execution strategy, cost, quality, safety, timelines and stakeholder management, while ensuring that projects are delivered as per approved specifications and business objectives.

This is a leadership role requiring strong exposure to residential / commercial building construction, EPC/project management and multi-disciplinary site operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Execution

- Take complete ownership of assigned projects from planning through execution and handover.
- Develop project execution strategies, construction schedules and milestone plans.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures to avoid delays.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, materials, machinery and contractors.

Construction & Site Management

- Oversee structural, civil, finishing and associated MEP activities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, PMC and contractors.
- Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor productivity,

Cost & Commercial Management

- Monitor project budgets, cost overruns and resource utilisation.
- Review contractor bills, variations, extra items and work orders.
- Drive cost optimisation without compromising quality or safety.
- Support vendor/contractor negotiations and commercial decision-making.

Quality & Safety

- Ensure strong quality-control systems throughout project execution.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to maintain required standards.
- Drive reduction in rework, wastage and construction defects.
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety practices and statutory requirements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead Project Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, Safety and other project teams.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and track critical action points.
- Provide management with MIS, project progress reports and risk updates.
- Liaise with senior management, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION

B.E./B.Tech – Civil Engineering preferred.
