Regional Marketing Manager (Logistics – Trailer Fleet)
South & India Regions

2. Job Purpose

The Regional Marketing Manager will drive business growth, brand presence, and client acquisition across the Southern regions of India. The primary objective is to secure long-term contracts, optimize capacity utilization of our dedicated trailer fleet (High-Bed, Low-Bed, Skeletal, and Semi-Trailers), and build robust relationships with corporate shippers, freight forwarders, and industrial manufacturers.

3. Key Responsibilities

· B2B Client Acquisition: Identify, pitch to, and onboard heavy-industry manufacturers, automotive giants, steel plants, and infrastructure companies requiring dedicated trailer solutions.

· Regional Market Penetration: Strategize and execute market-entry plans for industrial clusters across the South (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana) and West (Maharashtra, Gujarat).

· Port & ICD Tie-ups: Establish strong networks with major ports (e.g., JNPT, Mundra, Chennai, Ennore) and Inland Container Depots (ICDs) to capture high-volume containerized or over-dimensional cargo (ODC) movements.

· RFP & Contract Management: Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for large-scale corporate RFPs, tenders, and long-term freight contracts.

· Capacity Optimization: Work closely with the operations team to ensure trailer positioning matches demand, minimizing dry runs (empty returns) between the West and South corridors.

· Competitor Intelligence:



Actively track competitor freight rates, market trends, and shifting trade lanes across key industrial corridors (e.g., Mumbai–Chennai, Ahmedabad–Bangalore).

4. Required Knowledge & Domain Expertise

· Trailer Asset Knowledge: Strong understanding of trailer logistics, including payload capacities, permit regulations, dimensions (20ft/40ft/ODC), and cargo safety protocols.

· Geography & Corridors: Thorough familiarity with industrial belts, national highways, check-posts, and port ecosystems linking Western and Southern India.

5. Profile Requirements

· Education: MBA in Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent corporate degree.

· Experience: 5 to 8 years of proven experience in B2B marketing or business development within the logistics, freight forwarding, or asset-heavy transportation sector (experience with trailer or ODC fleets is highly preferred).

· Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and contract structuring skills. Absolute comfort and capability in building strong rapport with corporate CXOs and Supply Chain Heads.

· Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Marathi) is a significant advantage.

Note:

We are strictly seeking a Business Development Manager with direct experience in the logistics and surface transportation sector.

· Mandatory Requirement: You must have extensive, hands-on experience handling commercial logistics operations specifically involving trailers (flatbeds, container trailers, or heavy commercial vehicles).

· Experience Level: Only candidates with relevant, proven business development experience in this specific area will be considered.

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
