Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer – NPD to lead and support the design, development, and successful launch of new products. The candidate will be responsible for converting customer requirements and concepts into manufacturable designs while ensuring quality, cost, performance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production.
- Prepare and review 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Interpret customer requirements, specifications, and technical standards.
- Conduct design feasibility, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Production, and R&D; teams for smooth product development.
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, validation, and design modifications.
- Identify and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) improvements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide effective solutions for design-related issues.
- Support cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests/Orders and maintain revision-controlled drawings and documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development and technical clarifications.
- Support customer meetings and resolve technical/design-related issues.




- Ensure projects are completed within defined quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Mechatronics or equivalent.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Product Design / Current Product Development.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in relevant CAD software such as Creo / SolidWorks / CATIA / AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of sheet metal, machining, casting, fabrication, plastics, or other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Experience in prototype development, product validation, and engineering change management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in NPD / NPI project management.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFM/DFA, and Design Reviews.
- Experience working with customer-driven product development projects.
- Knowledge of cost reduction and value engineering techniques.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
