Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and qualified TGT Computer Science Teacher to teach Computer Science and Information Technology concepts to middle and high school students. The candidate should be capable of delivering engaging, practical, and technology-driven lessons while developing students' programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for middle and high school students.
- Teach programming, computer fundamentals, applications, and other topics according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, practical exercises, and assessment materials.
- Conduct hands-on computer laboratory sessions and programming activities.
- Develop students' computational thinking, logical reasoning, coding, and problem-solving abilities.
- Teach programming concepts appropriate to the students' grade level.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and practical examinations.
- Conduct regular tests, practical assessments, assignments, and remedial classes where required.
- Monitor students' academic progress and maintain accurate records.
- Encourage students to participate in coding competitions, technology projects, science exhibitions, and other ICT-related activities.
- Ensure proper use and discipline in the computer laboratory.
- Promote safe, responsible,



and ethical use of technology and the internet.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
- Use smart classroom tools, educational software, and digital resources to enhance learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and coordinate with colleagues regarding student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and other academic activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Previous teaching experience in middle school and/or high school will be an advantage.
- Strong programming and computer skills.
- Valuable communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of programming and computer fundamentals.
- Knowledge of languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or other curriculum-relevant programming languages.
- Understanding of databases, networking, web technologies, and basic cybersecurity concepts will be an advantage.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, student-friendly manner.
- Good computer laboratory management skills.
- Creative and activity-based teaching approach.
- Familiarity with smart classroom and digital teaching tools.
- Commitment to student development and academic excellence.
