Research and Development Engineer

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Shift Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Work Mode: On-site (Thane)

Must haves for this role

Education: Degree / Diploma / Post Graduation in Electronics & Telecommunication (EXTC), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation, Mechanical/Mechatronics, or a related field.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in an engineering R&D;, product testing, or automation environment

Technical Skills: Strong command in Python programming, test automation frameworks, hardware component selection, and lifecycle validation.

Soft Skills: Fast problem-solving response, collaborative mindset for floor technicians, sharp commercial negotiation acumen, and clear technical communication skills.

Candidate Preferred Location: Thane, Mumbai, or Navi Mumbai.

Joining: Immediate joiners preferred (15 to 30 days maximum notice period).

Key Responsibilities

- Product Research & Validation: Conduct rigorous research and validation on new products, components and electronic parts required for next-generation energy storage systems.
- Quality & Lifecycle Management: Execute comprehensive product testing to ensure peak quality, structural integrity, and long-term product lifecycle management (PLM).
- Python Automation: Develop and deploy robust Python code to automate real-life testing environments, simulated load scenarios, and data logging tasks.
- Vendor Management & Negotiation:



Reach out to multiple suppliers, source technical components, evaluate quotations, and negotiate effectively to achieve the best cost-to-quality ratio.
- Production Floor Coordination: Work hand-in-hand with the production teams to execute product engineering changes, implement hardware/software solutions, troubleshoot and defects.

Expectation:

Research & Validation: Deliver clear "Go/No-Go" component test reports to eliminate technical risks early.

Quality & Lifecycle (PLM): Set up quick "testing checkpoints" at critical assembly stages so a defective part never moves down the line.

Python Automation: Replace manual testing with 24/7 automated scripts to accelerate product launch timelines.

Vendor Management: Secure backup suppliers while aggressively negotiating to lower total product costs.

Floor Coordination: Resolve glitches instantly to prevent manufacturing downtime.

Hike on current CTC, based strictly on industry experience, core skills, and technical evaluation.
