About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and evolve a modern web frontend covering website components, website migration and maintenance, internal tools, admin portals, and new authoring experiences.

You will work across React, Next.js, TypeScript, frontend architecture, design systems, performance, accessibility, and SEO, while taking ownership of production frontend modules and collaborating closely with product and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Build production-grade web applications using React and Next.js.
- Develop new website components and migrate existing page templates and sections while maintaining functional and visual parity.
- Write scalable TypeScript and up-to-date JavaScript (ES6+).
- Build responsive interfaces using HTML5 and CSS3 across devices, breakpoints, and varying content lengths.
- Integrate REST APIs, including loading, empty, error, caching, and pagination states.
- Implement predictable state management for large frontend applications.
- Build internal tools and admin portals involving complex forms, dense data tables, and permission-aware interfaces.
- Develop and maintain shared component libraries and design systems, including versioning, documentation, and adoption.
- Maintain consistent UI and interaction patterns across a large application.
- Contribute to modern frontend architecture and incremental improvement of large, evolving codebases.
- Optimise frontend performance, including bundle size, code splitting, rendering, image delivery, and other assets.
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and production frontend performance.




- Build accessible interfaces with correct semantics, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and appropriate contrast.
- Apply frontend SEO fundamentals, including rendering strategy, metadata, structured data, and crawlability.
- Execute website migrations with parity checks, redirects, and staged cutovers while protecting traffic, SEO, and layout.
- Use production signals and real user behaviour to identify and resolve UI reliability and experience issues.
- Own frontend modules independently from development through production.
- Participate in Git-based workflows, code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong professional experience in frontend development at a senior level.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development skills.
- Experience integrating REST APIs into frontend applications.
- Experience with state management in large-scale frontend applications.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems or shared component libraries.
- Experience working with large, evolving UI codebases and incremental modernisation.
- Experience developing internal tools and admin portals.




- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility.
- Practical knowledge of frontend SEO, including SSR/SSG, metadata, structured data, and crawlability.
- Experience with website migrations, parity verification, redirects, and staged cutovers.
- Strong Git skills and experience working within collaborative development and code-review workflows.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with backend and product teams.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
- Experience shipping frontend applications through CI/CD.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience working with mobile WebViews.
