SolarQube Energy is a growing solar energy company based in Salem, specializing in residential and commercial rooftop solar installations. We are looking for a skilled and responsible Senior Solar Technician to join our team and take responsibility for solar installation and electrical work at customer sites.

Job Description

The Senior Solar Technician will be responsible for executing and supervising rooftop solar installation projects, handling electrical work, commissioning solar systems, troubleshooting issues, and guiding junior technicians at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute rooftop solar PV installations for residential and commercial projects.
- Install solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, cables, and other system components.
- Perform DC and AC electrical wiring and connections.
- Handle cable routing, termination, earthing, and other electrical installation work.
- Install and configure solar inverters.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve installation and electrical issues at site.
- Supervise and guide junior technicians and helpers during installation.
- Ensure work is completed safely, neatly, and according to project requirements.
- Coordinate with the project team regarding site requirements and installation progress.
- Carry out basic maintenance and service work when required.
- Follow proper electrical and workplace safety procedures.




- Travel to residential and commercial customer sites in Salem and surrounding areas.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in solar installation or electrical field work preferred.
- Practical knowledge of rooftop solar PV systems.
- Experience with solar panel installation and mounting structures.
- Good knowledge of DC and AC wiring.
- Experience with solar inverter installation and connections.
- Knowledge of earthing, cable routing, and electrical safety.
- Ability to independently handle installation and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to supervise and guide junior technicians.
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, EEE, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to customer/project sites.

Preferred Candidates

Candidates with hands-on experience in:

- Rooftop solar installation
- Solar inverter installation
- DC/AC electrical work
- Solar troubleshooting and maintenance

will be given preference.

Work Location

Jalakandapuram, Salem, Tamil Nadu

The role is primarily field-based and requires travel to residential and commercial customer sites in Salem and surrounding areas.
