Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the valve and fittings industry to develop, modify, and optimize mechanical designs for industrial valves, pipe fittings, and related components.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop industrial valves, pipe fittings, and mechanical components.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Create and maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, part drawings, and specifications.
- Perform design calculations for pressure, stress, dimensions, tolerances, and material selection.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, DIN, BS and other relevant standards.
- Select suitable materials for bodies, bonnets, stems, seats, seals, fasteners, etc.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Manufacturing teams.
- Review customer specifications and convert requirements into engineering designs.
- Modify existing designs based on manufacturing requirements,



customer feedback, and cost optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, inspection, and production trials.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
- Investigate design-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of mechanical design and engineering drawing.
- Experience with valves, fittings, piping components, or pressure-containing equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, surface finish, and machining processes.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹47,146.04 per month
