Accounts Assistant – Australian Accounting & Finance Location: Delhi, India

Experience: Minimum 3 years Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role : We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent mathematical and numerical ability, strong hands-on accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills. Candidates with experience in the education, Australia immigration/visa services, international education, or similar professional services industry will be preferred. This role requires someone who is highly comfortable working with numbers, calculations, reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and large volumes of financial data.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and financial transactions.
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) extensively and work on invoices
- Prepare, verify and process invoices, bills, receipts and payments.
- Perform vendor and ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up as required.
- Perform detailed numerical calculations and financial data analysis.
- Identify discrepancies, errors and inconsistencies in accounting data and in invoices.
- Prepare frequent MIS reports and financial statements/summaries for stakeholders.
- Work extensively on Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis and automation.
- Develop and improve Excel-based reporting and accounting processes through automation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors and other stakeholders where required.

Ensure accounting practices and documentation are aligned with applicable Australian Accounting Standards and company procedures.





Required Skills

- Excellent Numerical & Mathematical Ability
- Very strong mathematical and calculation skills are essential.
- Excellent command over numbers and financial calculations.
- Ability to work accurately with large volumes of numerical data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel Skills The candidate should be an Excel expert/power user, with strong practical experience in: Advanced formulas and functions - XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH - SUMIFS/COUNTIFS and complex formulas - Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts - Data validation and conditional formatting - Advanced data cleaning and manipulation - Excel dashboards and MIS reporting - Automation of repetitive accounting/reporting processes - Macros/VBA or other Excel automation tools will be a strong advantage - Power Query/Power Pivot will be an added advantage

Accounting Experience Strong practical experience in:

- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Bank reconciliation
- Vendor reconciliation
- Customer invoice error identification
- General ledger
- Invoicing and payment processing
- Outstanding/ageing reports
- MIS and financial reporting Industry

Preference Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

- Australian accounting / Australian businesses
- Australia visa and immigration companies
- International education / study abroad companies
- Education consultancy
- Qualified services
- Overseas education and migration services




- Accounting/ other outsourcing firms servicing Australian clients Experience working with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS/IFRS) will be highly preferred.
- Software Knowledge Experience with accounting and office software is required.
- Xero accounting software knowledge/experience is highly preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience using Xero for invoicing, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, reporting and day-to-day accounting operations will have an advantage. Fing BAS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.

Education Qualification Candidates should preferably have a degree in: - B.Com - BBA - B.Com (Hons.) - BBA (Finance/Accounting) - B.A./B.Sc. Economics - Economics (Hons.) - Mathematics (Hons.) - Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or a related field will be an advantage. Candidates from regular/reputed colleges or universities will be preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience is required. Candidates should have substantial hands-on experience in accounting, particularly Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, rather than purely theoretical or academic accounting exposure. Ideal Candidate
