Role Overview

We are looking for a Jewelry Quality Control (QC) Executive who will be responsible for checking jewelry quality at every stage of production, identifying issues before they move to the next process, and providing regular production and QC status updates directly to management.

The objective of this role is to ensure that every piece is manufactured according to the approved design, specifications, workmanship standards, and delivery timeline.

Key Responsibilities1. Stage-by-Stage Quality Control

- Conduct QC inspections throughout the complete jewelry production process.
- Check pieces after important stages such as CAD/wax, casting, filing, assembly, setting, polishing, plating/rhodium and final finishing.
- Ensure defective or incorrect pieces are stopped before moving to the next production stage.
- Maintain proper records of pieces approved, rejected or sent for correction.

2. Jewelry Quality Inspection

Check jewelry for:

- Correct design, dimensions and specifications
- Metal quality and finishing
- Proper stone size, shape and placement
- Loose, tilted, damaged or missing stones
- Setting quality and security
- Prong, bezel and channel finishing
- Soldering and assembly quality
- Symmetry and alignment
- Polish quality and surface scratches
- Porosity, dents, cracks or manufacturing defects
- Rhodium/plating quality where applicable
- Clasps, locks, hinges and other functional components
- Final appearance and overall workmanship

3. Production Monitoring

- Track every job/order through different production stages.
- Follow up with karigars, setters, polishers and production staff on pending pieces.
- Identify delays, rejected pieces and repeated manufacturing problems.
- Ensure corrections are completed properly before approving the piece for the next stage.
- Help ensure production is completed according to required delivery dates.

QC & Production Reporting

Provide management with a clear daily status report, including:

- Total pieces currently in production
- Current production stage of each job
- Pieces checked during the day
- Pieces passed by QC
- Pieces rejected / requiring correction
- Reason for rejection
- Person/department responsible for correction
- Pending or delayed pieces
- Expected completion dates
- Important production or quality issues requiring management attention

Any major quality issue, repeated defect or production delay should be reported immediately.

5. Final QC Before Dispatch

- Conduct complete final inspection before jewelry is approved for dispatch.
- Verify that the finished jewelry matches the order/CAD/specification.
- Ensure the jewelry is properly cleaned and presentation-ready.
- Confirm stone security and functionality of locks/clasps.
- Ensure no defective piece is packed or dispatched.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience in jewelry manufacturing QC / production preferred.
- Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes.
- Valuable knowledge of diamond and gemstone setting, polishing, casting and finishing.
- Ability to identify small workmanship defects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate production and QC records.
- Comfortable using Excel / Google Sheets / WhatsApp for reporting.
- Able to communicate clearly with karigars, production teams and management.
- Responsible, organized and capable of following up until issues are resolved.

Most Important Expectation

This person will act as management's eyes on the factory floor. Their responsibility is not only to find defects at final QC, but to catch problems during production, prevent mistakes from continuing to the next stage, track corrections, and keep management updated on the exact status of production every day.

Success in this role means: fewer reworks, fewer rejected finished pieces, consistent jewelry quality, better production visibility and on-time completion of orders.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
