- Prepare the cathlab, sterile trolley, instruments, and procedure-specific equipment.
- Perform surgical hand scrub and maintain strict aseptic/sterile technique.
- Prepare and arrange sterile instruments, drapes, gowns, gloves, syringes, and other supplies.
- Coronary angiography
- PTCA/PCI and stent placement
- Temporary/permanent pacemaker procedures
- Peripheral angiography/interventions
- Other interventional cardiac procedures
- Pass instruments, guidewires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other devices to the cardiologist.
- Prepare and handle contrast media and sterile solutions according to hospital protocol.
- Anticipate the operator's requirements and maintain efficient instrument flow.
- Maintain accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and device counts.
- Assist with specimen handling and labeling when required.




- Monitor the sterile field and immediately correct any breach of aseptic technique.
- Assist with emergency procedures and cardiac resuscitation when required.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and turnover of the cathlab after procedures.
- Check availability and expiry dates of sterile supplies, implants, and emergency equipment.
- Follow radiation-safety, infection-control, biomedical-waste, and hospital policies.
- Document procedure-related nursing activities as required.
