JOB DESCRIPTION: Product Manager

Title: Product & Category Manager – Laboratory & Bioprocess Single Use Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly driven and technically strong Product & Category Manager to lead the development, structuring, and growth of a laboratory and bioprocess product portfolio.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, product management, and commercial acumen to manage product listings, drive competitive positioning, and support new product development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Catalog & Category Management

- Lead end-to-end product onboarding and lifecycle management
- Ensure accurate, complete, and SEO-optimized product listings
- Standardize SKUs, naming conventions, and technical specifications
- Improve product discoverability through structured data and filters

2. Technical Product Ownership

- Manage product categories including:
- Carboys (HDPE, PP, PC)
- Bottles (media, reagent, storage)
- Flasks (Erlenmeyer, baffled, shake)
- Filtration systems (bottle-top filters, membranes, vacuum filtration)
- Validate product specifications, certifications, and compliance standards
- Develop technical datasheets and product documentation

3. Competitive Analysis & Positioning

- Benchmark products against leading global brands in Laboratory & Bioprocess single use products.
- Analyze pricing, specifications, and positioning
- Identify portfolio gaps and recommend product enhancements or new launches

4. New Product Development (NPD)

- Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams to develop new products
- Translate market insights into product requirements and specifications




- Support prototyping, testing, and validation processes
- Drive private label / owned product development initiatives

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

- Work closely with marketing teams to develop product content and campaigns
- Support sales teams with technical knowledge and product training
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product data and validation

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in laboratory consumables, bioprocess, or related industries
- Experience in product management, category management, or technical product roles
- Exposure to ecommerce or digital product catalogs is preferred

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
