Dream On Travel is a leading Tamil travel community based out of Coimbatore. We organize curated group trips for solo and group travellers, bringing together like-minded travel enthusiasts to explore new destinations, experiences and cultures We are looking for a Professional Video Editor who can transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality travel content for Instagram and YouTube.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Video Editor at Dream On Travel, you will be responsible for editing travel videos using footage captured through skilled cameras as well as mobile phones.
You should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, shot selection, framing, composition, pacing, colour, sound and editing techniques — and be able to look at raw footage, identify the best shots, and combine them into polished videos that match the Dream On Travel style.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit high-quality Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube videos
- Work with footage captured using professional cameras, action cameras and mobile phones
- Understand different types of camera and mobile footage and edit them appropriately
- Maintain consistency in visual quality, colour and editing style across videos
- Adapt videos to different aspect ratios and formats for Instagram and YouTube
- Organize raw footage and project files systematically
- Collaborate with the team to understand the purpose and story behind each video
- Keep up with current Instagram, YouTube and travel video editing trends
CAMERA & MOBILE VIDEOGRAPHY KNOWLEDGE
A good understanding of videography is essential for this role. You should understand:
- Basic camera operation and shooting techniques
- Framing and composition
- Different shot types and camera movements
- Exposure, shutter speed, ISO and aperture
You do not necessarily need to be a professional cinematographer — but you should have enough practical knowledge of camera and mobile videography to understand how footage should be captured and how it can be used effectively in an edit.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Strong practical knowledge of professional video editing software is required. Knowledge of one primary professional editing software at an advanced level is essential; knowledge of additional software is an advantage.

- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
- Adobe After Effects
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Video Editor
- Strong portfolio / showreel is mandatory
- Strong practical knowledge of professional video editing software
- Good understanding of camera and mobile videography
- Strong visual storytelling and editing sense
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
