Role OverviewLooking for a Consultants and Senior Consultant to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance practice. The candidate should bring hands-on experience across internal audits, internal controls, statutory audits, forensic investigations, fraud risk reviews, forensic accounting, and eDiscovery / document review methodologies.The role is open to candidates based in Chennai / Bangalore.Key ResponsibilitiesFact finding reviewsSupport and execute process / financial fact-finding reviews examining transactions, records, and supporting documentation to identify irregularities and patterns.Conduct forensic accounting reviews and detailed transaction testing; analyze financial records, accounting entries, contracts, invoices, and supporting documentation to identify red flags, control failures, and misconduct indicators.Assist in preparing reports, client/ board presentations, and high-quality workpapers.eDiscovery & Document ReviewConduct document and email review for investigations, litigation support, regulatory matters, and compliance reviews, including first- and second-level review.Identify relevant, responsive, and potentially privileged documents; execute review protocols and coding guidelines; prepare review summaries and issue chronologies.Use forensic technology platforms (e.G., Relativity, Intella) for keyword searches, communication analysis, email threading, and issue-based document review; participate in large-scale managed review projects involving multiple custodians and complex data sets.Fraud Risk & ControlsSupport fraud risk assessments and anti-fraud control reviews covering the end-to-end business process lifecycle.Identify process gaps and assist in developing practical remediation recommendations.Client Delivery & Technology-Enabled WorkingWork with engagement managers to deliver projects on time and within budget; participate in client meetings, interviews,
and evidence review sessions.Prepare high-quality workpapers, analyses, and client deliverables; support proposal development and practice development initiatives when required.Use generative AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, and similar large language models), applying sound prompt engineering, to accelerate research, document summarization.Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA); additional certifications such as CFE, CIA, CISA, or ACAMS would be an advantage.Typically 2-6 years of relevant experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, forensic accounting, compliance reviews, or eDiscovery and document review (Big Four / consulting background preferred).Hands on exposure to eDiscovery or forensic technology platforms (e.G., Relativity, Intella) Working knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Advanced Excel.Ability to understand business processes and operations, and formulate risk scenarios and patterns.Skills & CompetenciesSharp analytical and investigative mindset, with robust attention to detail and professional skepticism.Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prepare clear, client-ready reports and distil findings for non-technical stakeholders.Practical, collaborative approach to solving complex problems across multiple client departments, while following commercial and legal requirements.Comfort adopting technology in work delivery, including data analytics, visualization, forensic technology, and AI tools, to drive efficiency, insight, and quality of outcomes.Ability to manage timelines and maintain accuracy across all phases of analysis and reporting, under pressure.Agile, curious, and adaptable, with sound judgement and the ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality on sensitive matters.Willingness to travel within India and overseas as engagement needs demand.
