About the Role

As a Manager Software Engineering on the Continuous Delivery Platforms team, you will lead a team of platform and DevOps engineers who own and evolve the internal CI/CD platform that is the backbone of software delivery across the enterprise. You will manage delivery end to end coaching and developing your team, shaping platform technical strategy with technology and product partners, and driving improvements in reliability, developer experience, tooling, security, and compliance. Success is measured by the reliability and adoption of the platform, the velocity it unlocks for engineering teams, and the strength of the team you build. You will also champion the adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across your teams SDLC moving beyond prototypes to production-grade use.

What Youll Do

- Manage and develop a platform and DevOps engineering team to deliver reliable, high-impact platform capabilities on time through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Shape technical strategy for the CI/CD platform in collaboration with technology and product partners, aligning platform investment with organizational goals.
- Drive platform adoption and developer-experience improvements across the broader engineering organization.
- Track and improve developer experience metrics cycle time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and developer satisfaction using platform telemetry and developer feedback as primary signals of platform health.
- Regularly engage engineering teams through developer interviews, feedback sessions, and other customer-discovery practices to surface unmet needs and validate platform investments.
- Drive improvements in development practices team structure, processes, tooling, security, and compliance to enhance reliability, velocity,



and quality.
- Establish and track engineering quality and reliability standards, including code review practices, testing discipline, observability, and incident response.
- Oversee technical vendor and tooling relationships to influence product features and ensure alignment with platform requirements.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified engineers to strengthen platform, infrastructure, and DevOps capabilities.
- Partner with security and reliability teams to embed guardrails, secrets management, and compliance into the platform.
- Lead adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across the teams SDLC setting expectations, measuring impact, and moving usage beyond prototypes to production-grade workflows.
- Remove blockers for the team, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate status transparently to leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agile ways of working, inclusion, and transparency.

What Youll Bring

Required

- 10+ years of overall technical experience, including 3+ years directly managing or leading engineering teams (teams of 15 or more preferred).
- Track record as an engineering team manager, not a delivery or program manager primary accountability is to engineers growth, performance, and technical development, not coordinating delivery timelines for external clients.
- Robust people-leadership track record: coaching, performance management, hiring, and growing engineers.
- Demonstrated experience building an engineering team from scratch sourcing, hiring, and onboarding DevOps/platform engineers in an open, competitive talent market (not internal bench or agency allocation).
- Solid technical foundation in platform engineering specifically CI/CD systems, Kubernetes, cloud (AWS and/or Azure), and infrastructure-as-code not infrastructure operations or delivery-side DevOps.
- Experience owning an internal developer platform or shared engineering platform as a product accountable for platform adoption, developer experience, reliability, and roadmap, with internal engineering teams as customers (not client delivery).
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale SCM platform operations (GitLab or GitHub Enterprise) governance, access management,



compliance integrations, and developer adoption at scale.
- Experience applying customer-discovery practices developer interviews, feedback loops, journey mapping to understand and prioritize the needs of internal engineering teams as the platforms customers.
- Experience setting technical strategy for platforms or developer tooling in partnership with product and technology leaders.
- Proven ability to deliver reliable platform capabilities while balancing scope, quality, and capacity.
- Experience establishing and owning SLOs/SLAs for shared engineering infrastructure, including incident response and reliability improvement for a platform with internal developer customers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across a teams SDLC setting expectations and measuring impact, not just piloting.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.

Nice to Have

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an advanced degree with related experience.
- Familiarity with GitOps, platform observability, or FinOps.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and influencing external product roadmaps.
- Experience establishing software documentation standards and engineering processes.
- Commitment to inclusive problem-solving and openness to challenging assumptions with data-driven reasoning.
- Experience with agentic AI platform tooling AWS AgentCore, LangChain, Anthropics Agent SDK, or similar applied to agentic SDLC workflows.
- Familiarity with knowledge-graph technologies (GraphRAG, Neo4j, or similar) as applied to agentic developer tooling and SDLC workflows.
