Varalia is at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing, turning agricultural waste into high‑value biochar that helps sequester carbon and improve soil health. Our state‑of‑the‑art plant in Hinganghat operates 24/7, processing thousands of tons of feedstock each month. To keep this operation running at peak efficiency, we need a Mechanical Fitter who can blend technical expertise with a proactive safety mindset.
The Mechanical Fitter will be a key member of the Maintenance department, reporting directly to the Shift In‑Charge and collaborating closely with the Plant Manager. Daily duties revolve around ensuring that all mechanical equipment—ranging from bulk material conveyors to high‑capacity pumps—remains in optimal condition. This involves a mix of scheduled preventive tasks, rapid response to breakdowns, and participation in larger plant initiatives such as start‑up and shutdown cycles.
Beyond the core tasks, the Mechanical Fitter will contribute ideas for process improvements,
suggest upgrades to existing equipment, and help train junior technicians. The role demands a hands‑on attitude, the ability to work independently under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work setting.
Successful candidates will have completed an ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, possess 1–3 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in an industrial setting, and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment. Familiarity with basic electrical concepts, PLC interfaces, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
Varalia offers a collaborative workplace where innovation meets sustainability. Join us to play a vital role in a mission‑driven organization that is actively reducing carbon emissions while delivering high‑quality biochar products to the market.
