nRole Purpose
nThe Manager – Internal Audit shall be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring internal audit activities across academic, administrative, financial, and operational functions of the University. The role will ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls while identifying risks, process gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.

nKey Responsibilities
n1. Internal Audit Planning & Execution
n
- n
- Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans covering academic, administrative, financial, and operational functions.n
- Conduct periodic audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.n
- Assess compliance with University regulations, delegated authorities, and governance frameworks.n
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, and operational risks.n

n2. Financial & Compliance Audits

- n




- Review financial transactions, payroll processes, procurement activities, reimbursements, and budget utilization.n
- Verify compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, and institutional requirements.n
- Support preparation for external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.n
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trail maintenance across functions.n

n3. Process Review & Risk Management

- Evaluate operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.n
- Conduct risk assessments and assist departments in implementing effective control mechanisms.n
- Monitor key organizational risks and recommend mitigation measures.n
- Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the University.n
