We're looking for a agile Optometrist cum Store Manager who can combine clinical expertise with strong store operations and leadership skills.
Role Overview
This is a dual-responsibility role — you will serve as the store's primary Optometrist for eye examinations and vision care, while also managing overall store operations, staff, sales targets, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Optometry:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision testing
Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe corrective lenses/eyewear
Advise customers on lens types, coatings, and frame selection
Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports
Ensure optometry equipment is well-maintained and calibrated
Adhere to clinical protocols and company SOPs
Store Management:
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to SOPs
Drive store sales and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets
Manage inventory — stock levels, ordering, and reconciliation
Supervise, train, and motivate store staff (Vision Advisors/Vision Experts)
Handle customer escalations and ensure high customer satisfaction
Monitor store cash handling, billing, and daily reporting to management
Ensure store visual merchandising and cleanliness standards are maintained
Coordinate with HR/Accounts/Operations teams on staffing, salary, and compliance matters
Prepare and share store performance reports with senior management
Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Optometry (D.Optom/B.Optom) from a recognized institution
Prior experience in optical retail
