Main Purpose:
Sr. Lead Engineer – QA/QC will be responsible for providing Quality Assurance and Quality Control expertise for the Project at all stages of project management. This includes reviewing FEED documents for quality, materials, welding, non-destructive testing, and painting/coating–related requirements; reviewing bids; resolving exceptions and deviations; managing QA/QC activities during project execution; interfacing with other project disciplines; and managing shop, yard, site activities, and construction.
Job Accountabilities:
• Participate and provide specialized expertise during preparation of the project scope definition, ITB, Technical Bid Evaluation, preparation of scope of work for contracts, contract awards, and the project management process.
• Evaluate vendor/contractor capabilities and facilities for Company projects.
• Gather and provide relevant information and quality data, and coordinate contractors for site surveys as required for development of engineering by contractors.
• Follow up on progress of quality-related deliverables to ensure alignment with the approved schedule.
• Provide technical support to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and HSE, and serve as a liaison between contractors and the project management team.
• Ensure the scope of work is achieved in accordance with contract requirements, project timeframes, and applicable specifications and standards. Manage, approve, and coordinate QA/QC activities carried out by contractors.
• Review documentation produced by contractors (e.g., technical reports, specifications, procedures, method statements, lifting plans, drawings, etc.).
• Review quality-, materials-, welding-, non-destructive testing–, and painting/coating–related technical deviations.
• Review non-conformance reports and approve proposed corrections and corrective/preventive actions.
