As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief technology office
team, you will lead the design and development of modern, scalable solutions
using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Oracle/MySQL databases, along with
full-stack UI technologies. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical
leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help shape
technical direction and ensure high-quality delivery across the software
development lifecycle.

Job responsibilities

* Lead the design and development of backend services and full-stack
applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern UI technologies
* Build and maintain microservices with strong API design, resiliency patterns,
performance, and operational readiness
* Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate securely with upstream and
downstream systems
* Design, implement,



and optimize data access patterns for Oracle and/or MySQL,
including schema design, query optimization, and transactions
* Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work
environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across
complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation,
documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated
testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable
patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
* Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle
toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and
automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
