Who is a punter?

A punter is many things, but most importantly, a punter is fearless, experimental, and takes decisions that seem questionable until you see why they did what they did.

A punter lives by the words of Neil Gaimann:
“Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t positive enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, do it.”

A punter lovessss to share food and credit with equal gusto, because they know there’s enough space for everyone to grow unto themselves.

A punter has work mode, party mode, stare-at-the-ceiling-and-think-about-existence mode, but also solution mode. They look at problems like harmless insects and find a way to solve them by making the wise decision, not the right one.

Finally, a punter is someone who looks at things upside down and downside up to think of ideas.

Stay relentlessly current on design trends, visual culture, platform behaviour, and whatever the internet decided is cool this week. Then stay one step ahead of all of it.
Set the standard not by talking about it, but by showing it in the work you bring, the questions you ask, and the ideas you push the team to find.
Fight hard for the work your team believes in, then, whatever the outcome, accept it
