Job Description
About the role:
Lead, Placements will play a key role in empowering Bhumi Fellows as they transition from their two-year fellowship into impactful careers. This will involve guiding fellows to become change leaders in the education sector, supporting program managers in their mentorship efforts, and building solid partnerships with organizations to create meaningful opportunities. The Lead, Placements will be instrumental in ensuring that our fellows step into roles where they can continue to inspire, innovate, and make a lasting impact.

Role and Responsibilities:
Develop a strategy for placing fellows in relevant opportunities, such as internships, jobs, educational programs, or community projects.
Equip fellows with the skills and resources needed to secure placements by guiding resumes, cover letters, portfolios, and interview preparation.
Build and nurture strong relationships with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders to develop a network of placement opportunities.
Monitor the progress of fellows and provide support through check-ins, offer guidance,



and address any issues or concerns that arise.
Maintain accurate records of placements, including fellow profiles, placement details, and outcomes to assess impact and refine strategy.

Educational Qualification/Experience:
Educational Degree: Any Graduate, post-graduate, or fellowship.
Relevant Experience(in years) : 1-2 years of experience in career readiness/human resources/similar preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
Understanding of career pathways in the education and social impact sectors, including roles in nonprofits, government, and academia
Familiarity with career counseling, resume-building, and interview preparation strategies.
Problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
Organizational and time-management skills.
