Position overview
We are seeking a Head of Sales to lead new business development for Japanese-affiliated company clients in India. The mission is to achieve sustainable revenue growth by acquiring new customers and building business with acquired clients. We welcome Japanese applicants with practical experience in India and familiarity with Japanese business practices.

Expected outcomes (example KPIs)
- Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets (tracked by quarterly attainment rates)
- Build a strong pipeline and improve win rates (pipeline growth rate; conversion rate from chance to order)
- Improve retention and upsell rates for existing customers (retention rate; cross-sell/upsell revenue)
- Shorten lead time from proposal to order through improved proposal quality and standardization
- Increase team productivity through talent development (revenue per salesperson; sales efficiency)





Organizational placement
- As the head of the sales function, you will own business results and report directly to senior management (CEO or business head).
- Collaborate with marketing, product, customer success, and other functions to execute sales strategy.

Key duties and responsibilities (examples)
- Develop and execute revenue plans: targeting based on market analysis, monthly/quarterly performance management, and implementation of improvement measures
- Operate the sales organization: organizational design, hiring plans, administration and improvement of performance evaluation systems, and management of both remote and on-site teams
- Manage the pipeline: use CRM for lead management, implement lead nurturing programs, and personally handle key opportunities
- Develop sales talent: design and deliver OJT and training, mentoring, and career path planning
