The Asian Kid is a growing tutoring business connecting qualified tutors with students across international markets.
We’re looking for a hands-on HR Executive to own recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and payroll coordination.
The Role
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. Your primary responsibility will be high-volume tutor recruitment, alongside the HR operations that keep our team organised, compliant, and payroll coordinated accurately and on time.
You’ll work directly with the founders and be expected to take ownership, work independently, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
What You’ll Do
Recruitment — Core Responsibility
Screen incoming applications daily and maintain an active candidate pipeline
Conduct high-volume candidate calls
Schedule and conduct interviews using a structured evaluation rubric
Issue offers and rejections within defined timelines
Build and maintain a strong bench of pre-screened tutors
Keep the recruitment pipeline active and ensure positions are filled efficiently
Onboarding & Compliance




Manage the complete onboarding process for recent tutors
Collect required documents, references, background checks, and right-to-work documentation
Ensure no tutor begins teaching before completing all required compliance checks
Coordinate induction and training with subject heads
Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready personnel records
Employee Relations & HR Operations
Conduct regular one-to-ones and track follow-up actions
Manage leave, attendance, teacher absences, and cover requirements
Handle employee concerns professionally and escalate grievances or safeguarding matters when required
Maintain accurate HR trackers and ensure all actions are properly recorded
Follow up on outstanding HR tasks to ensure timely completion
Payroll & Reporting
Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leave, overtime, and cover
Coordinate with our accountant for payroll processing a
