Position description:
LeadSquared is looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join our Reporting Team. You will design, build, and maintain reporting systems and data pipelines that power critical business insights across the organization. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer with robust SQL fundamentals and hands-on experience with MySQL to grow across multiple database technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain reporting applications, dashboards, and data pipelines
Write complex, optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for large-scale reporting needs
Work extensively with MySQL for schema design, query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization
Integrate and work with other databases/data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, Snowflake) as required
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ensure data accuracy, consistency,



and integrity across all reports and dashboards
Monitor and troubleshoot production reporting systems, resolving performance bottlenecks and data issues
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices
Automate recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time
Document database schemas, data flows, and reporting logic for maintainability

Educational qualifications preferred
Field specialization: Computer Science / Engineering (or related field)
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience)
