Role Description
The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for laboratory reagents, consumables, equipment, and general supplies to ensure timely availability, quality, cost efficiency, and uninterrupted laboratory operations.
The role involves reviewing purchase requirements, stock levels, consumption patterns,



and operational needs; processing purchase orders; coordinating with vendors and internal departments; and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The Purchase Manager will also be responsible for maintaining optimum inventory and buffer stock, implementing FEFO practices, monitoring material expiry, and verifying received materials against purchase orders and GRNs.
The position requires close collaboration with finance, laboratory, operations, and other internal teams to align procurement decisions with operational requirements and budgets. The Purchase Manager will evaluate vendor performance, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, monitor supplier quality and delivery timelines, and identify opportunities for cost optimization, including initiatives to improve Cost Per Reportable Test (CPRT).
