Role Description The Electrical Technician role at Vedanta Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Bicholim. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for routine and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, including inspection, testing, and servicing of machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting and repairs, supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment, and documenting maintenance activities.
The role also involves working closely with engineers and production teams to minimize downtime, adhere to safety and compliance standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for plant operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance and working with Electrical Equipment.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electricity and practical Electrical Engineering concepts.
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults.
Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Relevant experience in industrial or plant-based electrical maintenance is preferred.
Understanding of electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and basic PLC or control systems is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
