Role Description The Assistant Professor of English will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English language and literature, with a focus on effective classroom instruction and curriculum delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, guiding discussions, designing assessments,



grading assignments and exams, and providing academic advising and mentorship to students. The role also involves contributing to syllabus design and program development, engaging in research and scholarly activities, and participating in departmental meetings, committees, and university events. The Assistant Professor is expected to foster an inclusive learning environment, support co-curricular activities related to English studies, and collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at GLA University in Mathura.
Qualifications
Advanced academic preparation in English, such as a Master’s degree or PhD in English, English Literature, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
