Why This Role Exists

WordBerries needs a hands-on BD professional who owns the full sales cycle — from prospecting through negotiation to signing contracts — for a defined portfolio of accounts. This is an execution-first role: more calls, pitches, follow-ups, and closures.

Role Overview

Owns end-to-end business development for an assigned book of accounts and lead segments. Drives outreach, pitches, negotiates deals, and manages client relationships post-signing to ensure renewals and upsells.




Core Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Outreach

● Execute outreach across assigned segments (corporate, startup, government, international)
● Maintain and update an active pipeline against ICPs
● Hit monthly/quarterly lead generation and conversion milestones

2. Pitching & Proposal Development

● Build and deliver pitch decks and proposals tailored to client needs
● Able to understand client business and needs
● Run discovery calls to understand client requirements
● Customize positioning and pricing within approved frameworks

3. Negotiation & Deal Closure

● Lead commercial negotiations on assigned deals, independently, up to defined deal-size thresholds
● Handle objections, redlines, and back-and-forth to close deals within target timelines
● Escalate only large/complex deals

4. Client Relationship Management & Follow-Up

● Own post-signing relationship management: check-in
