We are seeking a proactive and cutting-edge Application Engineer to operate, maintain, and enhance Scientific Computing managed compute environments. The role focuses on Linux/RedHat platforms with exposure to heterogeneous environments, HPC scheduling, and enterprise-grade automation (Git, Ansible) with experience in AI tools for quality improvements and automation.

Beyond administration, this role requires someone who can challenge the status quo, drive automation, and propose innovative improvements in Scientific Computing environments. The position offers hands-on experience with HPC clusters, interactive services, automation frameworks, and international collaboration with Airbus engineering and IT teams.

- 8+ years of working experience in IT working on Linux environments (RHEL) with development experience.- Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of scheduler platforms in Linux environments.
- Experience with automation using Bash, and Python
- Good understanding of compute resource management (CPU, GPU, memory, storage, licenses), Parallel Processing (MPI), Multithreading and Multiprocessing concepts.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Management); certification preferred.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose, reproduce, and resolve complex issues.
- Experience in stakeholder management and user support, with ability to adapt to evolving business processes.
