Position: Site Supervisor
Location: Near Infopark Phase II, Kochi
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Check and ensure the centre line marking is executed accurately as per approved drawings.
- Monitor and verify road levels, formation levels, and gradients using appropriate surveying equipment.
- Inspect excavation, filling, concreting, road works, and other civil construction activities.
- Track and control material consumption to minimize wastage and ensure proper utilization.
- Maintain daily records of material received, issued, and consumed.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams for smooth execution of work.
- Ensure all construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify site issues and report them promptly to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Maintain daily progress reports and submit MIS reports on project status, labour deployment, material usage, and work completion.
- Verify measurements and quantities executed at the site.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and site housekeeping standards.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of construction activities.
- Coordinate inspections and rectify defects identified during quality checks.
- Assist in final project handover and completion documentation.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in civil construction or road construction projects.
- Experience in centre line marking, road level checking, and site supervision is preferred.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of civil construction methods and site execution.
- Ability to read construction drawings and layout plans.
- Experience with Auto Level, Dumpy Level, or Total Station (preferred).
- Valuable understanding of material management and consumption monitoring.
