About this role

GiveDirectly has crossed $1B in cash delivered to people living in poverty, and we’re building the finance function to match that scale. The Senior Manager, Finance - DRC is a pivotal role in GiveDirectly's finance structure. This position will lead a finance pod responsible for end-to-end financial management for DRC and potentially additional countries or areas of operation.



The Senior Manager will report to the Controller while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Country Directors and implementing a centralized yet accountable finance model.

What you’ll do:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Serve as the primary finance contact for DRC and potential additional assigned countries, providing financial oversight and support to the Country Director.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, Budget-to-Actual reviews, donor financial reporting, and invoicing.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee country-level accounting activities, including transaction review, coding, reconciliations, and financial data integrity.
