Key Responsibilities
- Prepare endoscopy procedure rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist physicians and nurses during procedures such as colonoscopies, upper GI endoscopies (EGD), bronchoscopies, and other endoscopic procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and accessories according to manufacturer guidelines and infection prevention standards.
- Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of endoscopy equipment.
- Transport patients safely before and after procedures.
- Monitor and restock supplies, instruments, and medications as directed.
- Document equipment reprocessing and maintain accurate records.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with biomedical engineering or vendors.
- Assist with specimen handling and labeling according to laboratory procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized,
and secure work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as an Endoscopy Technician.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in an endoscopy unit or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing standards and infection control practices.

- Knowledge of endoscopic instruments and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
