Position Overview:
Mentors are industry professionals who provide world-class technical support to our learners in their Nanodegree journey. All our mentors are handpicked through a rigorous selection process so that we can truly be #studentfirst.
As a mentor, you will be meeting virtually on a weekly basis with your students for community support, live office hours and other activities.
Required skills/qualifications:
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Eligibility Requirements:Mentors must have at least 7 years of industry experience or a master's degreein the relevant field.
- Technical competence: Statistical Foundations, Data Wrangling, Visualization & Storytelling, Product KPIs, Data Pipeline, Data Modeling & Storage, Strong understanding of Experiment Design (A/B Testing, Multivariate) and statistical inference, product management frameworks (e.g., RICE, Iterative Design). Product Development, Rapid Prototyping, User-Centered Design, Product Strategy, Go-To-Market Strategy, Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Graduate from a Udacity Nanodegree Program is a added plus
- Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking, organizing technical talks, or webinars
- Positive character, trusted by the students, creating emotional ties in the group
- Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge part time as an external contractor
