Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager - Modern Trade will be responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring excellent execution across National and Regional Modern Trade accounts in Mumbai and surrounding markets. The role requires managing key retail accounts, achieving sales targets, ensuring product availability and visibility, coordinating with distributors,



and executing promotional activities to maximize business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Drive primary and secondary sales across assigned Modern Trade accounts.

Manage relationships with National and Regional Up-to-date Trade chains such as Reliance Retail, D-Mart, Star Bazaar, Spencer's, More Retail, Nature's Basket, and other regional retailers.

Ensure product listings, on-shelf availability, merchandising standards, and planogram compliance.

Execute trade promotions, consumer offers, and in-store activation programs.

Coordinate with distributors to ensure timely stock replenishment and optimum inventory levels.

Identify opportunities for new SKU listings and distribution expansion.

Monitor sales performance, inventory, ageing stock, returns, and competitor activities.

Negotiate promotional plans and commercial agreements within company guidelines.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews.
