Job Role:SeniorSourcing Engineer
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with technical requirements.
- Conduct cost breakdown analysis and value engineering to drive cost savings.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for electrical components and systems.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Familiarity with supply chain risk management and dual sourcing strategies.
- Assist with business procedure set-up, optimization, training and internal audit, SHEQ supplier audit and periodically customer assessment
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Supplier Quality activities.
- Support new product localizations to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards.
- Perform in office supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
- Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
- Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
- Manage the Supplier's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support quality audits for suppliers.
- Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management System
