Job Description - Security Officer (Ex-Army)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations
- Plan, implement, and monitor security arrangements across construction sites.
- Supervise security guards and ensure effective deployment at all entry/exit points.
- Conduct regular security patrols and inspections to identify vulnerabilities.
- Prevent theft, pilferage, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
- Manage access control for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles.
- Ensure proper gate management and verification of material movement.

Surveillance & Risk Management
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and access control equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive security measures.
- Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain high standards of physical and operational security.

Safety & Emergency Response
- Coordinate with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with safety regulations.




- Respond effectively to emergencies including fire, accidents, medical emergencies, and security threats.
- Lead incident response and crisis management activities.
- Coordinate with local police, fire authorities, and emergency services whenever required.

Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the security team.
- Conduct security briefings, drills, and awareness programs.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of security personnel.
- Ensure proper maintenance of security records, registers, and daily reports.

Asset Protection
- Safeguard company assets, machinery, equipment, and construction materials.
- Ensure secure storage areas and monitor movement of high-value materials.
- Protect VIPs, senior management, and visitors whenever required.

Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and statutory regulations.
