Role Summary

The Store Keeper will be responsible for end-to-end materials management at the Hisar plant, including the receipt, storage, issuance, tracking, and reporting of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, and spare parts. The role demands solid organizational discipline, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to generate timely inventory reports to support smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Tracking & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate real-time records of all materials in the store: raw PET bales, chemicals (caustic soda, detergents), packing materials, and engineering spares
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and reconcile with system records
- Monitor minimum stock levels and raise timely purchase indent requests to avoid production disruptions
- Manage FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation for all consumables and perishable chemicals
- Ensure proper segregation and labeling of materials by category, grade, and date of receipt

2. Log Recording & Documentation
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Notes),



MRN (Material Requisition Notes), and Issue Slips for all inward and outward movements
- Record details of incoming material: supplier name, quantity, weight, quality remarks, and vehicle/challan details
- Maintain a Daily Issue Register for materials dispatched to the production floor
- Ensure all documents are properly filed and retrievable for audits and management review
- Record and track returnable items, empty containers, and packing materials

3. Reporting
- Prepare and submit Daily Stock Reports to the Plant Manager covering opening stock, receipts, issues, and closing stock
- Generate Weekly Consumption Reports for key materials (chemicals, packing materials, utilities)
- Compile Monthly MIS reports on inventory valuation, slow-moving items, and stock ageing
- Highlight variances between physical and book stock and report discrepancies with root cause analysis
