WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you will design and build critical backend platform capabilities across services, data, integrations, and AI-enablement layers.
This is a highly hands-on role focused on backend architecture, distributed systems, event-driven design, data integrity,
and platform scalability.
You will work closely with product, quality, compliance, and US-based leadership teams to deliver secure and validation-ready systems for regulated environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design scalable backend services using Java, Kotlin, Kafka, and PostgreSQL
- Build REST APIs, event-driven workflows, and Kafka pipelines
- Implement CQRS, event sourcing, outbox, retries, and idempotency patterns
- Support AI-ready integrations with vector databases and intelligent workflows
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, RBAC, audit logs, and observability
- Mentor engineers through design and code reviews
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years backend engineering experience
- Solid Java and/or Kotlin
- Microservices and distributed systems
- PostgreSQL data modeling and performance tuning
- Kafka or similar event streaming platform
- Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, tracing and metrics
