About the Role:
We are looking for detail-oriented freelancers to transcribe and annotate conversational audio clips (Telugu,Tamil,Hindi). You’ll be adding rich detail to audio datasets-not just transcribing words, but also tagging vocal events (coughs, whispers), background noises (traffic, fans), and speaker attributes.

What You’ll Do:

Follow a 4-pass workflow:
Transcribe speech word-for-word (including fillers like um, uh).
Add punctuation based on tone and tag vocal sounds (, , ).
Mark background noise (fan hums, traffic, phone rings) on timeline tracks.
Finalize the transcript with proper tags and language markers.

Apply language rules:
Transliterate single loanwords into the native script.
Wrap full foreign phrases in tags.
Always write filler words (um, uh) in English/Latin script.

Requirements:
Native or fluent speaker of the target language + good English comprehension.
1-2 years of experience.
Great listening skills (able to catch faint background speech and subtle sounds).
Positive grasp of native grammar and punctuation rules.
Careful attention to detail and ability to follow strict tagging rules.
